Installing Downloads
Downloaded items should be unzipped to the following folders:

Skins (.bmp, .cmx, and .skn) - The Sims\GameData\Skins
Objects (.iff) - The Sims\Downloads
Walls (.wll) - The Sims\GameData\Walls
Floors (.flr) - The Sims\GameData\Floors
Roofs (.bmp) - The Sims\GameData\Roofs

To keep your Downloads better organised, you can also put your objects (.iff files) into subfolders inside your Downloads folder. For example, objects downloaded from here could go into:
The Sims\Downloads\MoppetSims

Doing this makes it much easier to keep track of where a file came from, in case you want to clone something or remove a particular file. Other downloads, however, such as Skins, Walls, Floors, and Roofs, can not be put in subfolders and must be placed loosely into their appropriate folder.

Installation Order
Many players feel that in order for your game to run its best, expansion packs should be installed in the order of their release. Others feel this isn't strictly necessary, but for reference, that order is...
