Buffy thought her slaying days were over when she moved to Sunnydale, but that was before she found out about the Master. This ancient vampire was trapped inside the Hellmouth and would spend the first season of BtVS trying to break free. He haunted Buffy's nightmares even before she knew it was prophecied that he would kill her. But killing Buffy isn't nearly such a permanent thing as one might think...
