The daugher of Arsenal football star Bob McNab, Mercedes has been acting professionally since she was young (either 10 or 11, depending on whether you're reading IMDb or Buffy Magazine). She originally auditioned for the role of Buffy and has been a member of the cast since the unaired pilot. On a television show where characters were constantly being killed, Mercedes figured it was only a matter of time before Harmony's turn came around, so she was relieved that, when Harmony was bitten at Graduation, the door was left open for her to return.

As opposed to Harmony and her unicorns, Mercedes has a collection of pewter fairies. And in addition to Buffy and Angel, her other appearances have included Touched by an Angel, Boston Public, the Addams Family movies, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
